Create New Workflow

The Create New Workflow interface in DocView Web provides a streamlined process for designing and configuring new automated business processes. This module enables administrators to build custom workflows that automate document routing, task assignments, approval processes, and other business operations without requiring technical expertise.

To create a new workflow:

  1. Access Workflow Setup
    Navigate to the main Workflow Setup dashboard following the standard navigation path.

  2. Click the + New Icon
    Locate and click the + New button in the top-right corner of the Workflow Setup interface.

  3. Begin Configuration
    The system will open the Create New Workflow screen where you can define your new automation process.

The form includes essential fields for workflow identification and configuration:

  • **Workflow Name *** (Required)
    Enter a descriptive name that clearly identifies the purpose and function of the workflow. This name will appear in workflow lists and reports.

  • Workflow Title
    Provide an optional display title that may differ from the internal workflow name, used for user-facing interfaces.

  • Workflow Setup
    Additional configuration options for detailed workflow parameters and settings.

Next Steps

After completing the basic workflow configuration:

  1. Define Process Steps - Add the specific actions and decisions in your workflow
  2. Configure Triggers - Set conditions for when the workflow should execute
  3. Assign Participants - Designate users or roles for each workflow step
  4. Test Thoroughly - Validate the workflow with test scenarios
  5. Publish - Deploy the workflow to make it available to users

The created workflow will then appear in the main Workflow Setup grid where it can be managed, modified, and monitored alongside other business processes.
